Homebound tutoring grades k-5 After school tutoring grades k-5 reading/math in correlation to standardized testing deficiencies 22 years experience in the public school system teaching grades k-3 all subject areas. Numerous professional development trainings including Write from the Beginning, 4 Blocks, Calendar Math, ActivInspire technology resources, Rigby Reading Toolkit, AIMS math/science Tutoring is very rewarding to me as well as my students and parents. The one on one/small group instruction allows me to teach the students the skills they most need with no interruptions/disruptions. It also allows me to learn more about the students and what interests and motivates them the most. I can also communicate more closely with the families to work as partners in achieving the learning goals set for their child while keeping it interesting and motivating. I have had great success with this approach which includes students who WANT to come to tutoring and look forward to it. I currently teach 2nd grade and will be happy to provide references. I am available all summer from June 6th-middle of August anytime.

Hobbies
I love animals and have a pet cocker spaniel named Campbell. I am leaving for Italy in May for a 3 week study abroad program with Clemson University to learn about the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. One of my passions is working out at Gold's Gym. I love fitness and exercise and am an energetic and outgoing person. I also love traveling and plan on doing more as time and finances allow. I find traveling to an educational experience as well as fun and relaxation.
